The role

We are after a bright, motivated Brand & Communications Associate who is looking to accelerate their career at a dynamic, high-growth environment. You will fill a critical support role in the brand and communications team. Reporting to the PR Manager based in Australia, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on a variety of internal and external communication campaigns that drives positive brand awareness for the company among its key stakeholders. You will be someone who is not afraid to be in the thick of it and assist the brand and communications team with everything from creating content to sourcing and managing speaking opportunities, providing insight through research, to updating media lists and tracking media coverage.

Who you are

  • You are media-savvy – You have a solid understanding of the evolving media landscape and have built a good network of media contacts in Australia. You have proven experience in identifying story opportunities and securing positive coverage across different types of media publications
  •  You are a confident communicator  – You have great interpersonal skills and can communicate clearly and confidently to internal and external stakeholders. You are comfortable working closely with cross-functional and global teams across the
  •  You have exceptional writing skills – You are able to write effective content for different audiences across different channels. You know how to convey technical concepts in simple and relatable language
  • You are self-motivated and self-sufficient  – You are a fast learner, able to pick up new concepts quickly and can work diligently alone as well as in a team. You can manage your time effectively and juggle multiple priorities at the same time
  • You are solutions-driven – You have good judgement and analytical thinking skills to find practical solutions to issues and roadblocks even without a rulebook.

Skills and experience

  • 2-3 years proven experience in a B2B communications role either at agency or in-house 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Solid knowledge of social media channels targeted at business audiences (Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, blogs)
  • Basic design skills is a great bonus
