It’s an exciting time to join the Total Rewards team at Atlassian. We just announced our Team Anywhere vision and are looking for an experienced compensation professional to help us evolve our compensation strategy, programs, policies and processes for a truly remote workforce.

As the Compensation Business Partner supporting our Product and Design teams, you will collaborate with Human Resource Partners, Management, and our Recruiting team to provide compensation analysis and compensation program management support for the business. The successful candidate takes and collaborative approach in identifying and addressing global compensation issues while evangelising Atlassian's compensation philosophy and strategy. The ideal candidate can understand complex data, is detail oriented and laser focused, but also able to see the bigger picture.

This role will have exposure to all of the work efforts within the team. While you will have areas of focus, we value openness and consider all opinions so you can expect to have a seat at the table as we deliver on the initiatives on our roadmap.

If that isn’t compelling enough, we are a globally distributed team yet manage to be close-knit. Our team meetings range from a focus on compensation related topics to birthday recognition and competitive games. We work hard and play hard together.

In this role:

  • Collaborate with business leaders; providing input and guidance to help influence compensation strategy and decisions
  • Coach managers on compensation decisions and communication, in partnership with HR Partners
  • Conduct market analysis and insights for new and existing roles
  • Support recruiters with offer creation
  • Perform analysis on the efficiency and competitiveness of comp programs, and model potential impact of alternatives
  • Support annual compensation planning activities, including data prep, auditing and reporting out on key findings
  • Build and maintain compensation documentation, and work with HR Ops and other partners to support audits, and drive process improvements
  • Develop and deliver training to People team, partners and the business

On your first day, we will expect that:

  • 6+ years of forward-thinking experience in compensation, finance or consulting with an in-depth knowledge of core compensation terminology and fast-growing technology company practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or an emphasis on Human Resources preferred
  • Highly proficient in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Strong quantitative, interpersonal communication, presentation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience developing and rolling out scalable processes with the ability to be very detail oriented, while also aligning with big picture
  • Ability to gain alignment and represent a common point of view across multiple partners
  • Workday experience preferred
