We pour quality and care into everything we do; allowing us to develop a product our users love, and strong relationships with our community.

Today, Cadmus is used by universities globally to create and deliver incredible learning experiences to hundreds of thousands of students. Join us on this learning journey as we transform education across Australia and beyond!

About the role

Our University Engagement Manager will help strengthen Cadmus' presence in the Asia-Pacific region by radically growing our partner and student numbers. This new role in our Commercial team will be instrumental in shaping our sales and customer success strategies in order to support growth and build advocacy. You'll create and execute growth plans, develop materials and processes, and act as a vital nexus between our partners and internal teams. Most importantly, you will ensure that University Leaders genuinely enjoy partnering with us!

About you

You have an aptitude for technology and will feel comfortable speaking about our platform and offerings. You're relationship-focused, and customer experience obsessed; always looking for ways to unlock new value for our users and partners. You make data-informed decisions and have experience implementing processes, structure, and strategies. You don't shy away from a challenge, you're resilient and flexible, and proactively seek solutions to problems.

What you'll do:

  • Manage the full sales cycle: develop sales strategies, engage with University Leaders to design solutions, and work with internal and external teams to finalise deals
  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to new and existing customers
  • Prioritise, target, and engage with new Universities, sector leaders, influencers, and industry bodies to find opportunities for new partnerships and collaboration
  • Confidently present our platform to existing customers to drive licence renewals and expansions
  • Develop best-in-class sales processes and playbooks and work closely with Marketing and Commercial teams to design and deliver marketing campaigns to boost customer growth and retention
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas and build a highly engaged pipeline of opportunities
  • Negotiate and execute renewal contracts (in partnership with legal) that align to customer goals
  • Develop short- and long-term strategies for large customer accounts, delivering on those strategies to build strong ongoing partnerships
  • Provide market and client feedback to our Product team to ensure we continue to deliver a consistent and reliable experience for our customers

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • 4+ years of sales and customer success experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Proven track record in achieving (and ideally, surpassing) revenue targets
  • Proven track record of operating in a highly metrics driven environment with a focus on activity and conversion rates
  • Passion for relationship-driven sales and experience building a customer-centric culture
  • A genuine passion for pedagogy and all things teaching, learning, and assessment
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to build deep, trusting relationships; turning clients into champions
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • Strong intrinsic motivation to be a top performer and contribute to a team
  • An analytical, yet creative, approach to problem solving
  • Team spirit; you're highly collaborative and appreciate that sales is a team sport

Bonus points if you have:

  • Startup DNA; you’re highly adaptable, work well with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A proven track record selling SaaS based solutions
  • A strong appreciation and understanding of UI and UX fundamentals
