We are a fast growing, well established company in Australia with a young, bubbly culture and are looking for our newest member of our finance team.

Working closely with our Financial Controller and Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for our day-to-day accounting, including reconciliations, journals, accruals and customer related queries. Your CA/CPA studies are fully paid and we offer extra study leave days.

Experience with IT/software is advantageous as it’s what we specialise in, and you will be using technology to solve problems. You will have multiple career pathway opportunities, but it is entirely up to you to make this job your own and steer your own direction.

The ideal candidate has shown ambition to grow and is a self-starter, not willing to settle. You will be encouraged to develop your technical and interpersonal skills where you will constantly be challenged on a day to day basis.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries for prepayments, accruals, deferred revenue and depreciation
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Working on internal and external financial-related queries
  • Exposure to inter-company and FX transactions
  • Credit card and bank reconciliation preparation
  • Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
  • Assisting the CFO and Financial Controller with any ad hoc tasks and projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent accounting degree
  • Part CPA/CA qualified or looking to start
  • 6 months to 2 years working experience ideal
  • Excellent technical accounting skills and intermediate Excel (V-lookups, pivot tables)
  • Hungry, creative, enthusiastic, and data-driven with a diverse skill set to thrive in an environment of fast growth and ambiguity
  • Experience with NetSuite ideal but not essential
