Fleet Space Technologies is an Australian space company that makes spacecraft for explorers of new worlds. With six spacecraft in orbit and production ramping up to serve the company’s core constellation of 140 satellites, the company is in a phase of rapid expansion. 

For more than two years, Fleet has been developing capabilities to provide new exploration communications and services for the Earth, Moon and Mars. With support from the Australian Space Agency, international customers and partners, the company is now growing the Seven Sisters Program team to accelerate development of spacecraft, sensors and systems that will revolutionise exploration. 

Fleet is hiring a Program Manager to help drive a series of exciting and transformative missions in space.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Be the Program Manager of the Seven Sisters Lunar Exploration Program and report to the Program Director and Chief Operating Officer of Fleet Space Technologies. You will support the Director for the Seven Sisters Program with duties including:
  • Planning and execution of the Program, which includes multiple missions that are highly integrated to deliver real-time exploration data and insights from the Earth, Moon and Mars.
  • Responsible for assisting in the formulation and implementation of strategy, planning, control of this complex, international program
  • Focus on international interfaces, systems management and the division of in-house and external capabilities
  • Drive Program implementation and coordinate partners and stakeholders to deliver mission outcomes
  • Work closely with Australian Space Agency stakeholders, major customers as well as international agencies and partners.
  • Work closely with Fleet Space leadership
  • You will lead specific tasks as assigned by the Program Director and will be the designated alternate for the Program Director for all program activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in project and program management
  • Experience in program cost estimating and cost control
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or related discipline
  • Broad systems engineering technical expertise
  • Experience working with science missions where significant interaction with the international science community has been demonstrated.

LOCATION

  • This role is located at Fleet's Headquarters in Adelaide, South Australia.
