Your Challenge:

We’re looking for a passionate Product Manager with experience in product growth to work on hipages products and partnership, a key pillar of the hipages strategy. This is an opportunity to accelerate your career through immersion into a fast-paced, data-driven but collaborative and fun loving product team. You’ll also be part of a close-knit product community. The role covers all aspects of product management from user research to delivery and post-release optimisation and experimentation. 

Our product community is inclusive, collaborative and supportive. We regularly meet and help each other through huddles, skill sharing sessions and practice review meetings. You will be encouraged to take ownership of your stream whilst working with the community and your product team to achieve what’s best for our customers. 

This role will be working alongside our partnership team to grow the number of jobs posted on hipages, and the number of tradies on our platform. As well as helping optimise existing partnerships, the core focus of this role will be to identify new opportunities, and to conceptualise and develop new products and product experiences to fuel growth through partnerships.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of our consumers and tradies, their likes and dislikes and top pain points and opportunities within our partnership ecosystem
  • Build and maintain expertise in our competitor landscape and similar markets both domestic and overseas
  • Develop an effective product strategy and roadmap to realise growth opportunities
  • Lead a cross functional team in designing, testing, delivering and monitoring these initiatives to achieve growth targets
  • Delivering products which are recognised as having the best user experience in the industry, with a goal to optimise repeat usage,  LTV and partnership ecosystem value
  • Lead initiatives that enforce and strengthen marketplace trust for both consumers and tradies through our strategic partnerships 
  • Defining and analysing metrics that inform the success of products
  • Own key metrics across the business and develop effective product strategies to support the growth of these
 
You bring:

You’re a natural collaborator who listens intently and communicates clearly. You work to priorities through examining the importance and urgency of tasks and are able to make informed decisions by using data available to you. You’re confident and someone who’s at ease working with a broad range of stakeholders to drive effective business decisions and problem solving. You’re passionate about conducting research to learn everything you can about your customers’ behaviors, attitudes and emotions to help define the products and experiences we create.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years Product Management or similar online experience
  • Experience delivering Product initiatives in an online two sided marketplace
  • Experience working with external partners on the capacity of Product Manager, Brand Manager or Partnership Manager is highly desirable
  • Experience in leading cross functional teams 
  • Ability to develop coherent Product strategies 
  • Understanding of online marketing and experience optimising online acquisition channels 
  • Extracting customer insights to shape product development 

Technical Experience

  • Good sense for user experience and is able to paint a vision and give clear directions to designers and engineers
  • A solid understanding of the technology behind online products and being comfortable leading a group of engineers in product initiatives
  • A data-driven approach to product management and being comfortable leading data scientists to analyse large data sets and extract trends and insights
  • Understanding of online  partnerships  and experience optimising online acquisition channels will be highly regarded
  • Understanding the technology behind online products and being comfortable leading a group of engineers in product initiatives
  • Experience with A/B testing tools and methodologies preferred
  • Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics, and ideally with Looker, Tableau
