This is an opportunity to join a leading, global fin-tech headquartered in North Sydney, specialising in digital financial advice. As a Technical writer, you will be responsible for facing technical product documentation for Ignition's platform.

Be a part of an energetic and fast-moving global team to develop a rich, stable and engaging product built with .NET and Vue.js, hosted in AWS. This role will cover all aspects of technical writing for our SaaS product including the ownership of our developer portal, contributing content to our website and marketing collateral and taking a leadership role in structuring of our internal wiki.

What you will be doing

  • Synthesise information from existing documentation to represent for different audiences.
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
  • Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
  • Analyse existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
  • Create and maintain the information architecture

What you need

  • Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
  • Excellent written skills in English
  • Strong working knowledge of common documentation toolset
  • Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
