The newly formed  ‘Customer Verification’ team is here to help Xero get to know more about our customers, a key step on the way to becoming the most insightful and trusted small business platform. Deepening our understanding of our users enables Xero to not only meet our regulatory requirements, but also deliver more personalised experiences that ultimately deliver our customers greater value. 

As a Product Owner you will be responsible for driving customer and business value through ownership of your problem space and corresponding experience flows (flows that may sit within other Xero products). This could include working on both new and existing experiences, from early stage research and analysis, to validating ideas and concepts, through to implementation and iteration based on key commercial success metrics.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development of Xero’s Customer Verification experience, guiding its execution from early stage concept, through to a globally scalable solution. You will do so in collaboration with partners such as Engineering, Platforms, Data, Architecture, Product Marketing, and other internal stakeholders such as our Industry & Regulatory teams;
  • Ensuring the roadmaps produced are data-informed, based on appropriate research and analysis, have objective OKRs, and balance functional and nonfunctional work.  Communicate these roadmaps and operating rhythm to internal and external stakeholders and incorporate feedback
  • Understanding and balancing customer, business and regulatory context. Be the champion of the ‘what’ and the ‘why’. Delivering value through defining, driving and executing a product roadmap that realises Xero’s vision and objectives and ensures successful product outcomes
  • Bridging technical, business and regulatory worlds as you lead strong and productive relationships with global stakeholders to deliver on market needs and priorities, and evangelise the product vision

You will have:

You will bring with you:

  • Product experience working within a software environment (preferably SaaS)
  • Hands on experience with agile processes and principles
  • Exposure to business analysis within a reasonably complex or technical setting
  • Measuring product performance and working with product analytics
