As a Strategy Consultant, you will be part of the Global strategy team responsible for influencing the long term direction of Xero and driving key strategic projects across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Xero’s Global business. You’ll execute and support a broad range of strategic projects for Xero including market research, competitive intelligence, and understanding customer needs and trends.  

What you’ll do...

  • Conduct research and analysis across market, competitors, customers and industries.
  • Create detailed competitor, market and customer segmentation models.
  • Build financial models to support new initiatives and growth options.
  • Support go-to-market initiatives including customer segmentation, interviews, and market research.
  • Support end-to-end delivery of projects: identifying and structuring problems, analysing root causes, developing solutions, communicating project results, and getting buy-in for change.
  • Work closely with business experts across product, technology, customer, sales, technology and finance.
  • Conduct strategic projects evaluating the performance of current business operations and recommend strategies and tactics to achieve business goals.
  • Create and deliver high quality presentations to senior executives.
  • Support internal and external communications, including CEO level and investor presentations.

  • Timely execution of strategy projects and presentations to senior management.
  • Development of insights and recommendations to support key executive decisions.
  •  Delivery of projects that impact business results.

You will be a tenacious and resourceful problem solver with deep analytical skills. Strong quantitative and analytical skills with experience building complex models will be something you love doing and have experience in. You will also hold a Bachelor degree in a quantitative field, preferably accounting, economics, business or finance and have between 2-4 years experience in a strategy consulting firm or corporate strategy team.
