Airbnb Experiences are activities designed and led by local hosts to give guests unique access into places and communities.

We are looking to create a large number of entrepreneurs across Australia and New Zealand on the Experiences platform. As the Market Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the growth strategy of Experiences across the territory

This is a contract position for a period of 12 months, based in our Sydney office. In this role, you will be employed by a third party agency and will not be eligible for Airbnb employee benefits

Responsibilities

  • Identify gaps in our host inventory and work to find and launch new hosts who can create high quality Experiences
  • Help promote the Experiences platform to professionals, entrepreneurs and passionate Experience hosts
  • Help support the growth of Experiences in multiple markets across Australia and New Zealand
  • Deep-dive into trend among Asian, build Experiences for intra-regional travellers
  • Coach and account manage top hosts so they can be successful on the Airbnb platform
  • Build relationships with top Experience hosts in Australia and New Zealand, and help them grow their businesses on Airbnb
  • Assess Experiences business performance using data and identify levers for growth
  • Build expertise and share learnings from your market with the broader organisation
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional global team
  • Support Experience host communities across Australia and New Zealand and organise meetups

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or higher with at least 2 years work experience
  • Think and act like an entrepreneur. Scrappy, hands-on and able to execute quickly
  • Previous experience in account management or partnerships is highly desirable

  • Detail-oriented, organised and goal driven. Great communication and interpersonal skills, and able to quickly establish relationships
  • Analytical skills with experience making data-driven decisions. Able to use Excel or Google Sheets to manipulate data. SQL is a bonus
  • Have your finger on the pulse of the latest local trends in entertainment, travel, lifestyle and what people want from their spare time
  • Passion for Airbnb and the sharing economy
