InDebted is looking for Customer Engagement Specialists to join our expanding Sydney team. This role suits energetic, self-starters, who are highly motivated and driven, bring a positive, can-do attitude, and are not afraid of change and challenges!

What will you accomplish? 

  • Demonstrate InDebted’s values in everything that you do to show a strong understanding and appreciation of our mission statement
  • Connect and build rapport with our customers through a range of channels including phone calls, emails, SMS and chat
  • Show empathy with our customers to understand their stories and needs, then help them find the payment option and solution that works best for them
  • Be a solid team player contributing to daily, weekly and monthly collections targets
  • Work closely with the greater business to improve our platform and provide valuable feedback to our product team
  • Understand and adhere to relevant compliance and quality requirements

What do we need from you?

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to interact with customers in a clear and concise manner via multiple channels
  • Prior experience in customer service
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations with a calm and empathetic approach
  • You are a problem solver with a can-do attitude: self-motivated and resourceful
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment: able to prioritise work and manage time efficiently
  • Keen interest in human behaviour and the underlying factors that inform the decision-making process
  • Attentive to the needs and concerns of customers while striving to provide the best possible experience 
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures

What would give you an edge?

  • Familiarity with debt collection related legislation (ACCC Debt Collection Guidelines, Privacy Act, National Consumer Credit Code, etc.)
