Job description

Whispli is a secure platform enabling individuals to anonymously report suspected misconduct or wrongdoing to organisation, making them safe to speak up. Compliance, HR and/or Legal teams from these organisations can then verify and substantiate the reported information and act upon it internally - before it becomes public and harms the organisation brand, reputation and financials.
 

Whispli counts hundreds Enterprise clients and enables 5M+ employees to speak up, which resulted in thousands of reports on topics like fraud, corruption, sexual harassment, bullying and more. Whispli also helps these organisations to promote a culture of open feedback, which is key for employee engagement and retention. Whispli is also used by Universities, Schools, Non-Profit Organisations and Journalists.

About you

  • You value pragmatism over perfectionism - proven ability to build both quick/dirty hacks and elegant/robust solutions, and the wisdom to choose which is appropriate for a given problem at a given time
  • You are a problem solver but most importantly, you want to solve the right problem - always taking into account what's the most important for the user
  • You have a hacker's mentality - nothing is impossible or too big and you have the desire to simplify rather than over-engineer solutions
  • You're experienced to work in startup environment - flexible and at ease in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • You're a starter who look forward to own tasks and responsibilities

What you will do

  • Architect and build our new user facing features for our different products
  • Own central and complex components of our application
  • Drive & deliver on our roadmap, converting rough specs/mockups into usable features
  • Collaborate with our backend engineers to identify the most elegant solutions
  • Provide leadership & mentorship to other engineers of the teas

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of industry experience building fast and reliable web-based products. Sophisticated personal/side projects will also be considered. We want to see a strong track record of launching and delivering projects of significant complexity and high level of ambiguity
  • Experience with modern web technologies and excited to learn new ones, e.g. Vue.JS, ES6, React.JS
  • Experience using build tools/bundlers (Webpack)
  • Experience using state management libraries (Vuex/Redux)
  • Ability to write high performing code and reusable UI components
  • Experience writing front-end tests (TDD with Jest/Mocha)
  • A solid knowledge in HTML5 / CSS3 and cross-browser & cross-device development
