Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

 

As a Platforms Account Manager, you'll be responsible for unlocking and growing the business through data driven analysis, strategic optimisations, consultation and customer care. You will cultivate existing partnerships to make sure they can take full advantage of our ever-growing suite of offerings. With this, you'll be required to work cross-functionally with Google teams to identify, prioritise and implement strategies to help your assigned partners; working closely with the Strategic Partner Lead to deliver on growth goals and increase efficiencies within the team.

 

Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The team partners with Publishers and App Developers of all sizes to promote their ad inventory, working with Google's broad range of partner solutions including AdSense, AdMob and Google Ad Manager, across mobile, display, and video formats, helping our partners and their audiences get the most out of the web. In addition, the Partnerships team supports Google’s own product teams with essential partnerships to help power Google’s user experiences in search, maps, travel, shopping, payments and more.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with partner Ad Operations and Programmatic teams by becoming trusted advisors.
  • Manage and grow partner business across products.
  • Monitor and analyse partner performance and pitch and implement new features.
  • Cultivate and strengthen partners' product knowledge.
  • Manage and close contract extension, renewal and product upgrades.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of work experience, including 3 years of related partner management or sales experience in an Internet or search company, and a background in media and publishing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated record of driving sales and managing relationships in a fast-moving product landscape.
  • Understanding of the online ad industry, key platforms, trends, KPIs and knowledge of statistical and data tools.
  • Demonstrated team player, with the ability to effectively manage multiple internal stakeholders (e.g. strategic partners, product specialists etc).
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise, plan and organise sales activity.
  • Excellent analytical and data visualisation skills.
  • Effective project and partner management skills, with excellent communication skills and the ability to present to groups on specific domain areas.
