Product Manager at Rokt

in Sydney, NSW

Job description

The original Rokt band got together in 2011. From there we’ve grown to an amazing global ensemble of over 170 people in Sydney, New York, Melbourne, the Netherlands, London, New Zealand, and Japan. We’ve crafted patented software, and fought the law to allow all Australian software businesses to protect their patents (and we won!). In doing this we've disrupted the marketing technology industry and Australian patents for software as a whole. In 2019 we're investing over $23m expanding our teams in Sydney. Do you want to be our next generation Rokt'star?

We’ve pioneered an entirely new way for ecommerce companies to increase engagement with their customers in the transaction moment. With a strong foundation in place, we're exploring new creative features and solutions. As a Product Manager at Rokt, you will be responsible for working with the business to design, develop, implement and manage core components of the product and technology platform.

You will work with a smart and passionate team of engineers, designers, data scientists and machine learning experts to create products that improve, personalise and match marketing messages in one of the world's fastest growing digital marketplaces. Your work will affect the entire product portfolio, improving value to clients and crafting a better user experience. In this exciting role. Day to day you can expect to:

  • Create high quality product specifications to support product development
  • Collaborate effectively with other product managers, UI/UX resources and QA testers
  • Work with other teams across the company to find opportunities for the business
  • Build products that will deliver a compelling consumer experience

To be successful in this position you will

  • Plan and manage the delivery of new products and features including sprint planning
  • Manage a range of stakeholders throughout product development process
  • Be accountable for project outcomes (delivering on time and within budget at the required quality)
  • Balance the needs of the business with those of users (of which there are often different groups)
  • Manage third parties as required to provide services and deliver outcomes
  • Become proficient in Confluence and JIRA and any other relevant internal tools for project management
  • Communicate and manage expectations regarding the product internally
  • Develop release notes and provide training on the product

Your CV should show:

  • Strong experience building user stories related to the products/features being created
  • Ability to develop understanding key stakeholders' business goals, challenges and expectations as it relates to current and future development application needs and use
  • Strong examples of products/features you have developed
  • Solid project management experience

In return for your amazing skills we’ll provide new challenges, an encouraging team of forward-thinking engineers and a competitive salary. We also have all the perks you’d expect, including employee stock plan, training budget, tech allowance, annual kick off in amazing places, (including Hawaii, the Blue Mountains, and Thailand in 2020!) and free lunches. There’s also sponsored social clubs including Microcontrollers, Gym, Basketball, Board Games, even Band. You could start your own club too.

Whether you love indie, pop, ASMR, metal, jazz, hip hop or classical, we’ll make space for you to be a Rokt’star. Get your application ready* and apply now.

(*no singing, or instruments required, promise.)

We recognise balance and difference is important in all business. We encourage you whatever your background, gender, religion or sexual orientation to apply. If you need other considerations or adjustments please highlight in your application and our Recruiter will be in touch.
