Shippit is a formidable force in the Australian market, shipping millions of parcels for thousands of retailers worldwide. We are currently looking for a Product Marketer that will help us skyrocket this growth by building upon our winning proposition as we expand to more markets and product verticals. This is the dream job for a data-driven, brand-oriented marketer hell-bent on creating a difference that will lead to a real change in an industry that desperately needs it.

 

The Role

As a Product Marketing Manager for Shippit’s award-winning SaaS platform, you will lead every aspect of our products journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive intelligence, go-to-market activities and external communications, you will shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal user base. To do this, you will work closely with a cross-functional squad encompassing product management, sales, growth, operations, engineering and more. In this role, you will own our product’s marketing strategy from beginning to end.

Responsibilities

  • Go-To-Market StrategyOwn the go-to-market strategy for new products and features across Australia and South East Asia. Including competitive analysis, messaging and positioning, sales enablement and customer communications to drive uptake and utilisation.
  • Go-to-Market ProcessManage cross-functional stakeholders during the go-to-market process to ensure the business is ready to sell, support and market the product or feature at the time of launch.
  • Product CommunicationsWork closely with the internal product management & engineering team members to distill and synthesise technical information into simple, compelling communications. Including internal messaging and positioning documents, and customer-facing content across all assets.
  • Product Utilisation - Leverage in-app (Intercom) and traditional communication tools (email, outbound sales) to develop campaigns that drive product utilisation with existing customers.
  • Competitive intelligence - Maintain and manage competitive intelligence and comparisons by working with cross-functional stakeholders and executing self-led research.
  • Voice of the customerConduct customer and market research to intimately understand our customers. Use this knowledge to champion our customers internally.
  • Data-Driven Decision MakingUtilise strong analytical abilities to inform all decisions and recommendations with robust data.
  • Manage KPIsMonitor and improve key KPIs: New feature uptake, product utilisation, revenue retention, ARPU, referral/advocacy and NPS.
  • Brand builder – Build Shippit’s brand and support new merchants by establishing key marketing partnerships with adjacent vendors (shopping carts, point-of-sale etc), eCommerce agencies & consultants, industry associations (like NORA) and the like.

About You

You are autonomous and collaborative. You require little oversight on a day-to-day basis and you proactively work through challenges in partnership with your colleagues. You are a creative thinker with high energy and a positive mindset. You are capable of managing changing priorities and, you are motivated to work hard and thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment. Multitasking comes naturally to you as does fostering and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with internal & external stakeholders, resources, management, support staff, and third-party vendors.

 

The Essentials

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Product Marketing, Product Management, Marketing Communications, Brand Management, or similar marketing disciplines.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, a related discipline.
  • Experience in product or marketing management in the SaaS and/or Small to Medium Business (SMB) space.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects with tight project deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of marketing communication tools like Zoho/ Hubspot and Intercom.
  • Ability to write simple, compelling copy, or work closely with a copywriter to refine content.
