Bring Me Home is an Australian social enterprise that aims to reduce food waste in the retail space and address food insecurity. Our mobile app, expected to launch in 2018, enables consumers to buy and collect excess food from food businesses at a significant discount. Our mission is to have delicious excess food going to your belly, not the bin.


With great ambitions, Bring Me Home will grow rapidly throughout Australia, starting from Melbourne, to Sydney, to all over Australia. To launch this initiative successfully, we are looking for motivated, passionate, hardworking candidates to signup numerous cafes,
restaurants, delis, and shops.


The perfect candidate is self-motivated, passionate, and believes in our mission, our cause, and shares the same vision with us. You will be able to push your boundaries, and accept all kinds of challenges. This includes approaching food business owners, talking and convincing them, and even facing rejections. You will possess strong and effective communication skills,
courageous, confident. Able to think on your feet, turn rejections into valuable lessons and improve your skills every time you pitch. Ideally you should also have experience in successfully selling a product or service in the past, however this is not a requirement.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Learn and know the food business scene, identify potential target businesses
  • Approach/ contact food business owners in person/via phone/email, articulate effective
    sales pitches, build and maintain solid relationships with them
  • Generate sales leads and follow up on new opportunities to increase sales
  • Organise meetings with food businesses and demonstrate mobile app/ product
  • Working with weekly sales target and goals

Role Requirement:

  • Proficiency in English is a must, proficiency in other languages is a bonus
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in speaking and writing
  • Great at being persuasive, comfortable with approaching and talking to people
  • You are an agile fast learner with great resilience, who can meet strict sales targets
  • You believe in working hard AND smart
  • Not afraid of rejections and being knocked down by busy restaurant owners
