SEM Specialist (Search Engine Marketing) at THE ICONIC

THE ICONIC is looking for an SEM Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Senior SEM Manager, this person will work closely with other members of the marketing team and collaborate with other internal teams to help achieve business goals. We’re looking for someone who is strongly analytical and really passionate about digital marketing. This role requires an in-depth understanding of paid search campaign management.

Job requirements

  • Strong performance marketing background, with 2-3 years of experience working across digital marketing channels like search, social ads or display
  • Hands on experience working with complex paid search campaigns at an agency or brand
  • Passionate about marketing and a keen follower or current trends in the industry
  • Strong attention to detail, good with numbers, statistics & working with large amounts of data
  • Experience working hands-on with Google Adwords, Adwords Editor and bid management tools preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and willingness to learn new things with a positive attitude
  • Possess critical thinking skills and have the ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Driven to keep improving skills and strive to be the best at their role
  • Have a history of being a self-starter and a great work ethic
  • Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a dynamic and fast paced start-up environment

 About the position

  • Supporting the Senior SEM manager in bringing to life the strategic direction of the Search Engine Marketing channel at THE ICONIC
  • Execute daily tasks and projects required to achieve strategic objectives and goals for the channel
  • Manage all aspects of paid search, including campaign management, keyword optimisation strategy, testing ad copy and landing pages, audience management, device strategy among others
  • Execute strategy across multiple search ad formats including Google Shopping and Dynamic Search Ads
  • Drive new customers and retain valuable existing customers through paid search
  • Possess a continuous testing and problem solving mindset
  • Keep working towards improving efficiency for the paid search channel
  • Report on key metrics and provide important data driven insights for the business
  • Work closely with other teams like SEO and Buying to provide insights and information that will empower them to make better decisions for the business
